Who is Madge and why does she need a whole world?

Those questions are far too deep for a website which sells stuff made out of Grease album covers. I can tell you that I live in Pittsburgh, PA, the pierogie and thrift shopping capital of the world, and you can usually find me either making stuff and listening to books on tape in my apartment, causing trouble on South Side, or at band practice for Louie and the Humans.

Reimagining everyday stuff as other, cuter stuff is something I've always loved to do. When I was little, I'd collect random junk from around the house and arrange it into Barbie's swank artsy apartment. Then I'd wrap Barbie herself in ribbons and fake flowers and bits of lace, tie bows to her car, and place houseplants all around to make a courtyard. Then I'd take it all apart and start over. This is how I played. (Well, sometimes I'd also grab a hairbrush and sing Linda Ronstadt songs into the bathroom mirror for hours ... strange child!)

Nowadays, I spend lots of time in my craft room doing the same thing -- ripping apart children's books and making them into purses and curtains, reconstructing album covers into handbags and lamps, making blank books, sewing stationery, and always trying to think of the next new thing to show you. So check back often -- there's fun new stuff all the time.

If you're interested in learning more about me and the goofy yet sweet madness (madgeness?) which is my life, please visit my blog.

And please feel free to email me any time you like. If you want to say hi, order something, carry my stuff in your store, feature it in a publication, or help me with my plans for world domination, that's the best way to reach me.

Have a loverly day,
